RiverSafe Junior Year 7-8

ACC RiverSafe for years 7-8 is a safety education programme for use
within the Health and Physical Education in the New Zealand
Curriculum at years 7 to 8. It is a land and water based teaching
programme about making quality decisions in, on and around rivers.
The programme is in four teaching learning sections.
Section 1: Using the river – fun and danger
Section 2: Learning about rivers
Section 3: Risk Assessment
Section 4: When things go wrong
To use ACC RiverSafe Junior teachers need;
- One copy of the ACC RiverSafe Junior resource – downloadable
from this page.
- One copy of the video – If Only….Real Life Stories provided
free of charge - order from the resources section of the RiverSafe
website.
- One copy of the Respect Rivers poster provided free of charge
- order from the resources section of the RiverSafe website.
